Gear: Werner Side Kick [194] [60?]
Manufacturer: Werner
Website: http://www.wernerpaddles.com/
Reviewer: Ronan

Review:
Really nice set of sticks. Well made. Good for bash ‘in of rocks repeatedly without fear of falling apart. Had them down many a river in spate and felt that they were dependable. Also a really good paddle for freestyle, with the nice addition of the side cuts to stop the paddle banging into your boat when you really need a good power or quick stroke.
They are extremely light weight and use space grade glass & carbon fibre. If they do get chipped you can sand down the offending bit so they cannot delaminate.
[Do this at your own peril. I know what im doing! Do you?]
This is not very common as the blades are very good.
The loom is oval in and off-set for a natural grip on the paddle. This means they are less likely to slip while making a power move or at least when you need it unlike most conventional round loomed paddles.
The loom also goes almost to the end of the blade to give it extra strength when it I loaded and also gives you a better feel of what the blades are doing as they are in full contact with the loom rather than just attached.

A Picture of the Sidekick blade itself. Ronan being himself with his Red Sidekick
