360° Spin:

Drop into the wave with the intention of reaching the trough of the wave.
As you drop in toward the trough edge downstream to the right while rotating your head downstream with the boat following!

While now in a side surf position sweep on your left and use your ass as if skiing to force the boat out from the wave upstream and the boat will end up facing downstream while still surfing. You will be back up the pile now.

Remember to lay forward or your stern will catch.

Now using your head to lead look round to right and back upstream. Keep the boat up on the upstream edge as you now sweep on your left to bring you round.

The objective is to always have the edge of the boat facing upstream, free from the wave while using your weight and throw to keep the boat edged facing downstream while sideways on the wave.

Using head rotation and forward and reverse sweep strokes to turn you 360° while on the wave.

Practice a 360° spin using these strokes on flat water so you know where your blades have to be. Then all you need to think about is edging.

Timing is key to this manoeuvre!
