Well another year has been & gone! Occasional floods, scattered showers
but mainly a lot of dry weather, which really sucks big style, but sure
it means we appreciate a decent day on the river even more.
I've added some more pic's to the Gallery &
Videos too!

STOLEN POLO
BOAT!! Red Combat Carbon
Polo Boat - Upper Red / Bottom Black-Grey
Carbon colour, Black rubber bumpers with name + contact details inside
the boat.
The
owner (Dympna Carville) is a member of the Irish Polo team and needs this
boat for training for competition in Japan this summer!
It
was stolen outside her offices in Belfast today at around 6pm above Globe
Bar close to Queens University. Most likely it was taken by non-kayakers
and will be dumped or thrown into the river Lagan!
If anyone has any details or spots this Polo boat over the next while
will they please e-mail me at: ronan@paddlefu.co.uk

Hey, good to see you and nice to be back folks. Since my time in Scotland
has started Ihave travelled 4 rivers, drank alot of pints and had some
fun. The site hasn't been updated because Ronan and myself are still working
hard in uni. Also my Internet access is sporadic at best. With this in
mind the site has had a major overhaul behind the scenes to make things
easier for Ronan to maintain. So please come in, look around and send
us any information comments or complaints that you may have. Thanks alot
and a happy New Year from everyone on the site, Pete, Ronan and the rest
of the crew.

Well
I have finally managed to get a hold of Peter's River Etive video after
much nagging and have got it edited and so the Videos
have been updated! Sorry about the wait but diplomats are complete b#star#s,
when it comes to handing over the goods. The video is fairly good being
the guys were pissing about when they were making it and when I get their
names i'll put them up.
Oh and
the rain has arrived in ever increasing downpours and we’ve got
a new member on board who's an [Artiste'] so he's promising so mega cool
pic's.

Well the rain has eventually arrived
after almost a full month without a proper downpour! In the meantime our
Scottish PaddleFu diplomat Peter McStea has been convincing the boys in
Edinburgh to go and run rivers anyway, water or not. So im expecting a
package in the post this week with a video of their run on the Etive.
I don't know what its going to be like but when it's up i'll let you all
know. I have to admit the last few months have been the worst in memeory
for kayaking so im hoping to have weekly news up from here on in providing
theres water!
Im away this weekend to Gortin with
my University club. So if you see a whole load of us on the Owenkillew
or the Fisherie's that'll be us (Jordanstown), Letterkenny + Queens. Hope
theres no swimmers!!!

Well
Martin and I tried to go to Shaw'sbridge today but ended up in Donegal
surfing at Tullan strand. Bit strange but it was fairly good surf. 4ft
out the back and quite soupy and mushy. Pulled some loops, Marty surfed
some good waves and Pete..... Well Pete the B###ard got to paddle the
River Nith today in Scotland, which although it apparently has no water
in it, it still has some good drops, waves and a cool twisty, dropy, pushy
george section. Ah well! All we can ask for is some rain already! In
Ireland I mean!!! :-)

Holy good feck! Had a mini epic today
on the road home from the Lagan when my boat decided to go A.W.O.L at
a set of traffic lights. My boat first saw its chance to escape and do
some freestyle road surfing along with my gear barrel and kit bag when
the car lurched foward at the lights at break neck speeds while my boat
popped the boot and escaped captivity. Needless to say when I saw my shiny
wee G-Force try its damnest to catch up with the car and overtake, I was
slightly bemused not only because Martin and I watched out of the boot
from the front of the car with comedy smiles of horror as my boat got
farther away, but also as my barrel decided it needed to take out all
traffic on the Antrim road (Main road to the North of Belfast). If only
I had my camera with me!
[Oh & well done young Sarah (Age
9) in doing a canoe trip with us down the mighty Lagan in its raging state
of low! And I dont mean flow! She did extremely well for her first trip
down a river even if it was low. I must admit I even enjoyed it!!]

Ok. Few changes. The Forum
was up and beginning to do well when an accident at our sponsors XplodeMedia
lost their server and therefore the Forum
itself. It has since been re-established. We will update and change it
later today. In the meantime we are pleased to report that we have photos
from a recent Paddle Fu trip down to Bundoran
to surf. These are in the Gallery. Also another
new section has been uploaded. The Video sections
has some videos of myself and Ronan going over the Bunduff Falls. Cool
Vids and we hope you enjoy. More to follow.

Well, first the health warning, this site has been designed for 800*600
monitors. However that still means you have to scrool. I'll aim to fix
that shortly. Various mistakes have been corrected and some have noticed
that the site is looking slightly bigger. This is beacuse I (Peter) have
changed it. What can I say, size matters. The crew had a little fun on
Friday night with parts of Northern Ireland suffering from flash floods
myself, Adam, Ronan, Dougal and Chris hit the water in search of some
fun. We got some pictures at the start which were taken by Mrs Astles.
THANK YOU. A report and a boat review section are due soon we promise.
In the mean time enjoy.

in Northern ireland. We hope to bring you a forum soon as well as gear
reviews.

Well as you can see yet another small change on the Paddle Fu site. From
green to blue and a new logo to boot. Why the change? Well the other pages
were good, but we needed something to entertain until we had the site
sorted. And now, happily IT's HERE! So look around and tell us what you
want more of. Got a link you want included? Contact us.
I also uploaded 2 new Galleries. So take a look.
Enjoy.
